HEART ROBERTS MAKES HIS NEW YORK FASHION WEEK DEBUT AS PART OF McDONALD'S BLACK & POSITIVELY GOLDEN CHANGE OF FASHION PROGRAM

New York, NY – Designer Heart Roberts, the creative visionary behind the bold and sustainable fashion brand HEARTHROB, is set to make his highly anticipated New York Fashion Week debut on February 10, 2025. This milestone moment will take place during the runway finale of the McDonald's Black & Positively Golden Change of Fashion Program, a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to uplifting emerging Black designers and advancing diversity in the fashion industry. The finale is presented by We Are Golden, sponsored by McDonald's, and will showcase Heart Roberts as a designer “one to watch” in the global fashion scene.

Known for his edgy-chaos aesthetic and innovative use of upcycled materials, Heart Roberts has been making waves by redefining sustainability and setting the tone for the new cool class of upcycled design. Roberts’ pieces—crafted from vintage denim, leather, and repurposed textiles—embody individuality, artistry, and versatility. According to Roberts, when you wear HEARTHROB, “I make a piece for any room—any space.”

A Designer on the Rise

Heart Roberts has already captured the attention of some of today’s biggest names in pop culture, dressing stars such as Muni Long, King Combs, Latto, and more. His ability to merge high-fashion craftsmanship with streetwear-inspired sustainability has positioned him as a leading voice for the next generation of conscious design.

In 2024, Heart was featured as a panelist for the ESSENCE Fashion House during New York Fashion Week, where he shared his vision for sustainable and upcycled fashion. He was also a guest at the 2024 BET Awards in Los Angeles, where his designs turned heads and underscored his rising influence in the industry.

About McDonald’s Black & Positively Golden Change of Fashion Program

Heart Roberts is one of five designers selected for this year’s McDonald's Black & Positively Golden Change of Fashion Program, which has been transforming the fashion landscape by supporting Black designers with mentorship, resources, and opportunities to scale their brands. Sponsored by McDonald's, the program pairs designers with industry leaders to provide masterclasses, funding, and visibility, culminating in this NYFW runway debut.

The initiative has been celebrated for its impact on increasing representation and fostering a platform where emerging talent can thrive. Tariq Hassan, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald's, shared, “The Change of Fashion program builds on our legacy of investing in diverse communities, pushing boundaries, and inspiring real change in the fashion industry.”

A Vision for the Future

For Roberts, this runway debut marks not only a pivotal moment in his career but also the launchpad for HEARTHROB's expanded impact in fashion. His A/W 2025 collection, "APOKALYPSIS," will be a centerpiece of the runway finale, showcasing a fusion of beauty and resilience that redefines post-apocalyptic fashion. Inspired by narratives such as Resident Evil and The Walking Dead, the collection offers a vivid exploration of survival, sustainability, and style.

As Roberts prepares to take center stage at New York Fashion Week, his work continues to draw attention from industry insiders, streetwear outlets, and pop culture aficionados. HEARTHROB is not just a brand—it’s a movement, and Heart Roberts is leading the charge.
